Start with your frame

Read the frame’s paper size. An 8 × 10 in print needs an 8 × 10 in opening, even if the frame’s outer dimensions are larger.

Match the shape

Use portrait for a tall frame, landscape for a wide frame, and square for equal sides. A-series frames use A5, A4, A3, A2 or A1.

Print at actual size

For PDF files, choose 100% or “Actual size” and the matching paper size. Ask your print shop to avoid cropping. PNG files are provided at 300 DPI.

A comfortable starting point: 8 × 10 in for a desk or small wall, 12 × 16 or 16 × 20 in for a medium frame, and 18 × 24 or 24 × 36 in for a larger wall. Measure your own space before choosing.

Use the inner paper opening of your frame, or the opening in its mat. These are paper dimensions, not the outer frame measurements.

Good to know

Do I have to choose every size before buying?

Choose one color and up to 10 sizes before your first download. Your design, color and sizes are locked when the ZIP is prepared. Personal purchases remain available in My Prints for 30 days; Seller and Seller Pro access lasts through the paid subscription period.

Is a frame or physical print included?

No. Gifsi provides digital PNG and PDF files. The room and frame mockups help you picture the artwork.

Why can centimetres differ slightly from a frame label?

Inch sizes are converted using 1 in = 2.54 cm and rounded to one decimal place here. A-series sizes use standard metric paper dimensions. Retail frame labels sometimes round their conversions.
